Public house. Late C17 with C19 and C20 extensions to rear and sides.
Coursed squared sandstone, plain tiled roof. Gable entry. 2-.storey,
2-window front. Original doorway now forms the entrance to the bar from
C19 entrance hall to left. 3-light chamfered mullion windows with
leaded square panes and stopped hood-moulds. Fire window with plain
stone lintel to left. Rear and side extensions not of special interest.
End stacks to steeply-pitched roof. The interior, now a single room
forming the lounge bar, has exposed chamfered joists throughout.
Fireplace with bressummer in the original houseroom.
