approximately 30 metres
to west of farmhouse

Barn. Probably C16, later walling. Timber-framed, rubble sandstone and brick
infill, tarred slate roof. Tall single-storey building of 5 bays. Roadside
elevation displays wall posts with rubble stonework beneath midrail. Central
waggon entrance with boarded doors beneath higher rail. Upper walling has curved
braces and some studs set in C19-C20 brickwork. Boarded hatch to each end bay.
Farmyard side: full-height waggon entrance flanked by wallposts, side bays covered
by adjoining farmbuildings of later date (not of special interest).
Interior: some wallposts cut off and underbuilt, original wallplate, king-post
trusses except those flanking central bay which are collared; double purlins,
square-set ridge. Farmbuildings adjoining each end not of special interest.
