House and attached cottage, now altered to wine-bar. Late C17 single-
storey house raised to 2 storeys and with cottage added to right late C18
or early C19. Thin coursed sandstone, gritstone window and door surrounds.
2 storeys, 2-cell house, single-cell cottage. House : central doorway
with tie-stone jambs and deep Tudor-arched lintel with spandrels formed by
stop-chamfered surround; to either side double-chamfered mullioned windows of
3 lights to left and 4 lights to right with a bullseye window to far right
with sunken spandrels, 1st floor has 2 large 2-light flat-faced mullioned
windows with plain-stone surrounds with 4-pane fixed glazing, Brick stack
to left gable, Cottage : quoins to right. Doorway, at junction with
house, with monolithic and tie-stone jamb and single-light window with plain-
stone surrounds to each floor. Right-hand return has external 1st-floor
corbelled and stepped stack replaced by brick stack to ridge. Two 2-light
windows to ground-floor right.
