House now 2 shops with art gallery over which continues above Nos 1 and 2
Booth's Yard (q.v.). Late C18 or early C19, shop fronts inserted c1880.
Thin coursed sandstone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys and attic. Two lst-
floor windows. Fills a corner site gable-on to street. Wide doorway with
monolithic jambs in chamfered angle (No 22). To left 2 separate shop windows
with original wooden surrounds with fluted pilasters, consoles and cornices.
Left-hand window with integral doorway(No 20). Above, two 2-light flat-faced
mullion windows with 4-pane sashes. Set between in apex of coped gable is
arched window with keystone and impost blocks. Central ridge stack and one
to rear gable. Right-hand return has 2 bays. 1st bay has shop window with
sash above in raised surround. 2nd bay has former doorway altered to window
with single-light window above retaining 12-pane sash. Paired moulded gutter
brackets. In state of poor repair at time of resurvey.
