Cottage attached to rear of No 5 forming part of the premises of Messrs Maddleys

House, now used as store and showroom. Late C17. Thin coursed rubble, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell central-entry plan. Quoins. Tudor-arched
doorway with tie-stone jambs has stop-chamfered cyma-moulded surround which
continues across lintel to form spandrels. 5-light double-chamfered mullion
windows with almost square reveals to either side and, 4-light window above,
those to 2nd cell blocked. Large stepped external end-stack to left is renewed
in brick above ridge level.
Interior: largely remodelled for present use.
