Farmhouse, early C17 with later additions. Brick nogged timber frame
with slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Small framing with angle braces.
2-storey gabled timber framed porch, jettied at first floor level and
gables, projects by the width of three panels. There is a 4-light
bowed, mullioned oriel below the gable jetty and shaped consoles below
the first floor jetty. The porch contains a heavy ovolo-moulded frame
without door but there is a C20 boarded door in ovolo moulded frame in
line with the front wall of the house. There is a 5-light oriel below
eaves at first floor level and a copy beneath at ground floor level.
Timbers at the rear (west) exposed above a lean-to roof. An added
wing (south-west) contains late C17 beams but is now mainly brickwork.
The north gable end has timbers with angle braces above first floor
level and a slightly jettied gable, now without exposed timbers.
Interior: Inglenook, exposed timbers in walls, slight ovolo moulds to
beams also some bevelled beams and exposed ceiling joist. At first
floor level there are wide boarded doors on strap hinges,, timbers
exposed in walls and exposed sections of trusses.
