Farmhouse C17, altered, and attached Cottage (former Dairy) late C19.
Brown brick walls of irregular bond. Grey slate roofs with 2 parallel
ridges and sandstone-coped gables with kneelers. 2½ storey square 3
window farmhouse with plain band at first floor and double band at
second. 2 rectangular brick chimneys. Gauged brick heads to front
windows, camber arches elsewhere. Late C19 hard moulded brick cills.
Windows replaced by small-pane iron casements circa 1860 for the 2nd
Marquis of Westminster. Modern door and glazing with clay tile
surround in recessed porch. Iron verandah, probably late C19, at
right end with 4 Doric columns and roof replaced in corrugated
plastic. North (former dairy) wing, 2 storeys, 4 windows, of brown
brick with blue diapering and red brick camber heads to windows;
slightly corbelled upper storey and blue tile roof.
Interior of Farmhouse: Oak newel dogleg stair with capped square
newels, barley sugar turned balusters, 2 per step, and heavy, slightly
moulded rail.
