Farmhouse, now private house and shop, circa 1840s. Rendered rubble stone with
slate roof with brick stack in gabled ends. 2 rooms deep with wide central
vestibule. Dairy with store above in leanto on right hand gable end.
Asymmetrical 2-window front above granite plinth. Ground floor with 16 pane sash
without horns to left and late C19 shop window on right with simple corbelled
brackets and shallow hood. Central 4-panel door with elaborate Roman Doric doorcase
with flanking pilasters surmounted by an entablature with triglyphs. Above ground
floor windows 2 16 pane sashes without horns. On right hand gable end leanto with
16 pane sashes on ground and first floor. The sash windows of the house have
moulded sash boxes. Front room on right with acanthus leaves and egg and dart motif
in plasterwork. Cornice and marble fireplace. Rear room on left with plasterwork
cornice with acanthus leaves and white marble fireplace with arched opening and
heavy brackets.
Upper floor and roof not inspected.
