5/78 Gazebo south east of Spindrift
House

GV II


Gazebo or summer house. Circa mid C19. Stucco over studwork or brick. Pyramidal
scantle slate roof with turned wooden finial. Paired octagonal brick chimneys
engaged with the right hand (west)wall.
Plan: first floor square summer house over square store room. Doorways in north wall
the first floor doorway approached by straight flight of external steps. Windows on
3 sides.
Exterior : 2 storeys. North entrance front has ground floor doorway right, granite
steps with ramped wrought iron handrail to first floor doorway left. Original tall
sash with marginal panes right of middle (similar sash in left hand wall).
Interior has original vaulted plaster ceiling with central rose.
