5/80 Lunn-aire and adjoining house

Pair of cottages, possibly former coachmen's cottages. Circa mid-C19. Killas rubble
with dressed granite quoins, jambstones and lintels. Hipped grouted scantle slate
roof with projecting eaves and central axial brick stack.
Plan: double-depth plan. Each house has 2 small rooms flanking a central cross
passage and 2 small rooms at the rear. Built over basement approached from rear.
Exterior : Single storey front. Overall 4 window north front of 2 similar fronted
cottages. Each cottage has symmetrical 2 window front with central doorway. Left
hand cottage has circa mid-late C19 16-pane horned sashes (front and rear) and
original 4-panel door with flush-beaded panels and overlight. The right hand cottage
has openings at a lower level. Circa late C19 or C20 4-pane horned sashes and C20
door.
