Stable-yard wall. 1820, by Sir Robert Smirke for Sir Robert Sheffield. Brick
with later rendering, ashlar coping. Wall approximately 2 metres high with
central entrance between rectangular piers now blocked, and arched pedestrian
way at east end. Wall links the pedimented returns of the east and west
stable blocks (q.v.) and closes the stable-yard on the south side.
