Pedestal memorials. Mid-C18 and early C19. Ashlar. South memorial has a
stepped plinth, the pedestal supported on four claw feet has a frieze and
is capped by an urn finial. The inscription on the west side reads: "SACRED/
to the Memory of/ ESTHER, Wife of/ JOHN GETHIN/ She died January 15th/ 1824
Aged 64"." North memorial is a pedestal on a moulded plinth with moulded cornice
and urn finial. The earliest inscription on east face reads: "IN MEMORY/ of
ELISHA GETHIN / he died July 25th 1746/ Aged 50/ Also of/ MARY, his wife/ she
died Jany 11th 1753/ Aged 54/ And also/ of ELISHA their son/ he died July 24th
1744/ Aged 13".
