13/39 The Angel Inn
GV II
Public house. C17, raised early C19 with mid-C20 alterations. Timber-
framed with rendered infill, mostly clad in painted brick with planted
framing, under a slate roof. L-plan, three framed bays to east, with gable-
end stack to west and a rear wing to north. South front of two storeys with
four windows, all C20 casements. Ground floor has a carriage entrance to
right and three canted bay windows. Entrance between windows to left has a
hipped canopy and a C20 ledged and boarded door. Left-hand gable has some
exposed framing: three square panels high with straight angle braces. The
truss has two struts to collar with V-struts in the apex, and trenched purlins.
