House. C16, early C17, C19 and C20. Timber-framed, rendered,
hipped roof flanked by gabled sections all peg-tiled. C20
metal casement windows. T-shaped irregular plan. Flat roofed
C20 porch on N. (1) W unit comprises 2 bays, C15/C16 2
storeyed, joists flat laid with centre tenons and first floor
with double mullioned windows either side of central storey
post (mullions restored). Cambered tie-beam, corner arched
bracket braces in W end wall beneath floor joists suggest
ground floor originally open here and possibly jettied. c1700
stack added to N. (2) To S C20 parallel block but a projecting
middle rail from former structure remains. (3) Central unit
early C17 single-storey range extending to E end of present
building and originally beyond but raised at W end to 2
storeys in early C19. (4) C20 additions on S and N sides.
