House. C16, C17 and C18. Timber-framed, weatherboarded and
rendered. Peg-tiled, mansard roof with dormer. T-plan. Single
storey and attic at N and 2-storeyed, gabled cross-wing at S.
C20 gabled porch with panelled door. Projecting stack at N.
All windows C20 casements with leaded diamond panes. INTERIOR:
cross-wing has C16 framing, peg holes reveal regular studding
and window breaks at front and back. Main range with C17 floor
joists exposed and late C17 type walling. Mansard roof has
rafters butted and tenoned up to purlin level but laid on
(nailed?) above. 2 heavy posts in N end wall may have
supported an earlier timber-framed chimney before the present
C18 one. C20 lean-to and additions at rear of cross-wing.
