House, now 2 shops and offices. Mid C18 with C19 alterations.
Coursed squared stone with painted ashlar quoins and
dressings; roof of graduated stone slates with stone ridge,
gable copings and chimneys. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Central
painted tooled stone surround to 6-panel door and overlight.
Flanking shop fronts each have shallow square corniced
projections with recessed door at right, that at right with
canted shop window, and at left with renewed fascia. Left shop
has coursed squared stone stall-riser. Plain first-floor
sashes in projecting painted stone surrounds. Roof has end
gable copings on cyma-moulded kneelers. Right coping and
kneeler renewed and widened to cover strengthening extra leaf
on right return gable, probably added when adjacent plot
cleared for building of Trinity Methodist Church (qv), and
incorporating renewed surround to round-headed window at attic
level.
INTERIOR: 6-panel doors to first-floor offices.
