House, now shop. Early C18 with C19 alterations and c1990
restoration. Rubble with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate and
stone slate roof with stone gable copings and chimneys. 2
storeys 2-window range with low right passage extension. Main
house has plain stone surround to renewed half-glazed door to
left of centre; low flanking canted-bay shop windows have
plain sashes, one in left and 3 in right. First floor of tall
proportions has sashes with glazing bars in architraves with
projecting moulded sills. Steeply pitched roof has right gable
coping, the left overlaid by adjacent building, and gable
kneelers with cyma mouldings. Right end plain coped chimney.
Right passage extension of two lower storeys has plain stone
surround to boarded door under 9-pane sash in plain stone
surround; roof of graduated stone slates with stone ridge.
Right return of main house has attic light in front part of
gable with 4-pane horizontal sliding sash in renewed flat
stone lintel and projecting stone sill.
INTERIOR: roof of upper crucks with 2 levels of purlins on
external wedges; and 2 collars, the lower projecting above the
lower purlins. Some collars and purlins renewed. Renewed
narrow ridge piece.
