8/11 Chest Tomb, about
20 yards South of
Church of S.
Wendreda in
Churchyard

Chest tomb. c175(8) or (3). Limestone. Rectangular with shaped ends. On
plinth with shaped top. Each side has bolection moulded and raised and
fielded panel. Console brackets at corners enriched with drops of fruit and
foliage. Ends with panels carved with urn with flame burst, ears of wheat
and foliage. Inscription is indecipherabe.
