Two town houses with shops. Early C19. Stucco on studwork to
front, dry Delabole slate roof with brick end stacks.
Double-depth plan altered circa late C19 to create 2 shops. 3
storeys; 2-window range to front. Original hornless sashes
with glazing bars; those to No.84 (right) are wide tripartite
sashes within moulded wooden architraves. No.83 has C20 double
shop front with terminal pilasters, consoles and moulded
cornice, No.84 has late C19 shop front with slender turned
central mullion (and terminal jambs between doorway with
ogee-on-plan sidelights on left) and single-light window,
scrolled heads on spandrels between; fascia with blind and
moulded cornice between terminal consoles over slender
pilasters. INTERIOR: shops modernised, otherwise not
inspected.
