Terrace of 3 town houses, including iron railings in front of
No.3. Early/mid C19. Stucco on masonry; overall hipped roof
with projecting eaves: slate to No.3, original (grouted)
scantle slate roof to No.4, stepping up slightly to asbestos
slate roof to No.5; stuccoed axial stacks. Double-depth plan
to irregular but planned terrace. 2 storeys, with basement to
No.3; overall 8-window range. Original 12-pane hornless sashes
to first floor and to ground floor of No.4; first-floor sill
strings and moulded eaves cornice with consoles between bays.
No.3 has 3-window-range front with stucco rustications to
basement and 2 late C19 ground-floor canted bay windows with
horned sashes and moulded cornices. Nos 3 & 4 have pair of
doorways slightly set back with C20 doors and overlights
within moulded doorcase and a console between; No.4 is a
2-window front. No.5 has nearly symmetrical 3-window front
with approximately central doorway with consoled hood over
pilasters and to reveals; 6-panel door and squat overlight;
mid C19 flanking canted bay windows with hornless glazing-bar
sashes and moulded and dentilled cornices. INTERIORS: where
inspected have their original carpentry and joinery details
and moulded plaster ceiling cornices. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: in
front of No.3 are close-spaced wrought-iron railings with
fleur-de-lis finials and turned stanchions, also basement
gate.
