2-cell house of mid C17 origins retaining some original windows to ground floor,
raised and extended early C19. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2
storeys. Quoins. Doorway with tie-stone jambs; 2 double chamfered mullioned
windows of 6 lights with king mullions, that to right lacks a mullion and is
opened to form a doorway. 1st floor has 3 single sashed windows, altered
glazing. Gutter brackets, coped gables with kneelers and stacks and one other
to centre of ridge. Left hand return wall has doorway with tie-stone jambs,
1st floor and attic have similar taking-in doors (blocked). It is likely that
this end of the building was used for textile manufacture or storage. Interior
of central ground floor room has coffered ceiling with stop chamfered spine-
beams and floor-joists.
