2/73 The Dusty Miller Public
House and attached barn

Public house and attached barn. Probably late C18. Hammer dressed stone, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys. A long range with barn with slightly higher roof line
to left of public house which has 3-bay symmetrical facade. Doorway with
monolithic jambs with semi-circular arched window with keystone and moulded
impost over to 1st floor. To either side simple Venetian windows with raised
impost and keystone to both floors, the centre light sashed. A bay is taken
out of barn with mid C19 2-light sashed windows with single light over to 1st
floor to right of cart entry with basket arch with keystone and impost block
(blocked). Over, is 2-light flat faced mullioned window. Mistal doorway to
left of cart entry. Quoins. Attached to left hand end is added bay, mid C19
with single light windows with broad plain stone surrounds and doorway with
monolithic jambs. Quoined angles. 3 stacks to ridge.
