House, now part of Sheffield Hallam University. 1835, with
early C20 additions and alterations. Probably by Weightman.
Ashlar with ashlar dressings and slate roof with various
altered stacks. Jacobean Revival style.
Plinth, first floor band, moulded eaves, coped gables with
kneelers and finials. 3 storeys; 3 window range. Windows are
mullioned and cross casements, with glazing bars and wooden
mullions.
Triple gabled front has recessed central bay with cross
casement and label mould, and above, a single light window.
Below, segmental pointed arched doorway with label mould, with
recessed mid C20 half-glazed door and infill panel.
Gabled flanking wings have a 3-light cross casement and above,
a 2-light mullioned window. Below, a 3-light cross casement.
All these windows have label moulds.
Right return has to left, 2 storeys with a cross casement on
each floor. To right, a projecting gable with a 3-light
mullioned window and above, a smaller 2-light window, both
with label moulds. Below, a square stone bay window with
crenellated parapet and a 4-light cross casement.
INTERIOR has dogleg wooden stair with turned balusters.
