Stable, now house. c1803. Limestone rubble and dressings with
a tile mansard roof. Single room plan.
Single storey and attic; 1-window range. Gable to the street
has a flat-headed recess containing a late C20 doorway, with a
round-arched window over with radial fanlight and loft doors,
with kneelers up to the upper section of roof suggesting
formerly a steeper gable; right-hand return has a keyed
round-arched window with double casement and plate-glass
fanlight, left-hand return has a round-arched doorway with
chamfered left-hand reveal.
INTERIOR: not inspected, reported to be converted late C20.
HISTORICAL NOTE: built after the demolition of the adjacent
postern gate in 1794.
