2 houses, former beer house, now single property, disused at
time of inspection. Early C19. Timber-framed and plastered,
with masonry lining, ground floor part weatherboarded. Welsh
slated roof, brick chimneys. Long plan, 1 room deep.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. First floor has three 2-light wood
small-paned casement windows with projecting frames, 2 at left
with moulded weatherboard heads, ground floor 2 at right
recessed beneath jettied overhang with moulded bressumer,
carried on gallows brackets. 6 flush panel door in moulded
architrave surround, 2-light casement window to right,
weatherboard cladding to sill level and across front elevation
of attached outbuilding to right. Rear elevation
weatherboarded.
INTERIOR: has exposed lightweight timber studding, roof of
lightweight rafters, some from thin scantlings with bark. A
very simple and unaltered vernacular building constructed at
end of the timber-framed era, included also for its group
value.
