Schoolmaster's house to former National School. 1857. Coursed
squared limestone rubble with freestone dressings;
triple-Roman tile roof with coped gable ends and a truncated
ashlar stack to rear right. Gothic Revival style. L-shaped
plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range to the gabled
east facade (left) in St Paul Street. The symmetrical Park
Lane facade has 3 windows to the 1st floor in chamfered
surrounds. The stone porch with a shallow pointed arch and a
hipped offset roof is flanked by stone-mullioned 2-light
windows under hoodmoulds with mask stops. The right return has
a 2-light window to the 1st floor with a shield plaque dated
"1857" above. C20 windows and door.
