House. C17 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof.
Originally one-unit plan, now T-shape. Single storey part with attic, and 2
storeys. Elevation to High Street has one-window range, with C19 casement under
wood lintel. C19 single-storey extension, attached at right angles to right, has
similar window in return wall. Rebuilt brick stack at end. Elevation to left is
2 storeys; 2-window range of C19 casements under shallow stone arches. C20 door,
to right, is under similar head. Outbuildings attached to left of this elevation
were originally another dwelling. 3-window range of C19 style casements under
wood and concrete lintels. 2 plank doors between windows. Cart entrance to far
left. Interior: room abutting High Street was the original one-unit house and
has open fireplace with bressumer. Several early C19 six-panel doors.
Outbuilding said to contain a fireplace with enriched surround.
