C18. 3 storeys. Painted brick. Stone strings at 1st and 2nd floor cill
levels. Moulded stone cornice, brick parapet with moulded stone coping. Steep
pitched slate roof. 4 windows to upper floors, left hand 2nd floor windows
have contemporary flower guards, wrot iron and cast lead ornament. On ground
floor - central 6-panel door in arched opening with plain tympanum. 2 early
C19 shop fronts each framed by panelled pilasters, frieze and cornice. Shop
window to No 36 formerly 4 arched lights, now altered, and door at left hand.
No 37 has glazed door with plain rectangular fanlight to right hand. GlazingNos 29 to 42 (consec) and
altered but original flush-panelled shuttering.
Nos 29 to 42 (consec) and The Market Hall form a group.
