Late C18. 3 storeys. Colour-washed brick front on 2 planes. Projecting
toothed brick cornice and parapet with stone coping. 2 hipped pantile roofs.
2 windows on 2nd floor, glazing altered to right hand. On 1st floor - one
3-light window to left hand and one wide window, 5 panes, to right hand. 2
C19 shops on ground floor - No 33 has 3-light shop window and glazed door
separated by pilasters, compo ornament, glazed door of 6 panels and bottom
panel, frieze and cornice - central archway to alley, with Doric pilasters,
frieze and cornice carried over shop, and wide 6-panel door, flush type, with
moulded panel over. No 34 has similar shop to left hand, altered, the window
set back, but similar pilasters.
Nos 29 to 42 (consec) and The Market Hall form a group.
