squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. A long range built up a hill
slope, the house being at the downhill end; house (right) of 2-storeys and 2
bays, with added 1-storey bay to right. A bay to the left of the house
links with the 5-bay barn which is at a higher level than the house; single-
storey, 2-bay stable and cart-shed far left. House facade: plinth and
quoins; central door in quoined surpound with lintel inscribed, 'H:I', the I

mullioned, each having 1 mullion removed and a square 4-pane sash inserted.
Plain stone surrounds. Shaped kneeler and gable coping right; banded end
stacks. Bay to right: board door with tie-stone jambs left, 2-light flat-
faced mullion window with 6-pane sashes to right; inturned kneeler, gable
coping and stack, right. Linking bay to left of house: double board doors.
Barn to left again: central segmental arch, byre doors far left and far
right with tie-stone jambs; added front bay not of special interest; shaped
kneelers, gable coping. Stable and cart-shed far left: double board doors
left, board door to gable right, 9-pane sash in stone surround centre. The

dated example of an C18 house built when Thruscross Moor was first enclosed.
