Two houses, built as one in early C16 or possibly C15. Major alterations of
C18 and C19. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and plastered (No.27 is roughcast).
Concrete plaintiled roof; a massive rear C17 chimney of red brick. Various
C19 and C20 sashes and casements. No.27 has a modillioned cornice of early
C19 above a C20 glazed panelled entrance door. No.25 has a continuous double-
ogee moulding to two posts and a binding joist. A little widely-spaced arch-
braced studwork is visible in the roofspace with evidence for a crownpost
roof. The walls were raised and a new roof built in C18/C19.
