War Memorial

II

War memorial. c.1920. Sandstone and granite with bronze
plaques and figures. Tapering square shaft on inscribed base
on granite plinth. Inscription reads "They shall not grow
old as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them
nor the years condemn". The shaft is surmounted by a cross
and has a cast battle-clad figure towards the top on each
side.
