Artisans' cottages. 1909. Barry' Parker and Raymond Unwin. .Painted pebbledash except for left crosswing which is unpainted; plinth of brick in Flemish bond to recessed hall range; gable kneelers of tile; brick jambs and brick and tile voussoirs to round-arched cross passage in the centre. The group designed after the pattern of a bilaterally symmetrical double-ended hall house with five-window range to centre and one window to each crosswing. Two storeys. All openings are flat arched except for cross passage. Entrances to Nos. 32 and 34 flank the cross passage. Ranges one and five, first floor, are hipped half dormers with three-light casements. Ranges two and four of four square window lights. Entrances to crosswings on returns, set under bracket porch. First-floor windows of cross wings, four- and three light. Axial ridge stacks to centre and re-entrant corners. Stacks to rear of each crosswing. Casements and doors of original design. Garage and wall to left of No.38 are not of special interest. The Asmuns Hill group is a most important example of a complete Parker and Unwin streetscape.
