Farmhouse. C17 with late C18 alterations and additions. Coursed and dressed rubble
with ashlar dressings. Stone slate roofs with 2 gable stacks and coped gables with kneelers.
2 storey. South front has off-centre doorway with 6-panel door and flush ashlar surround.
To the right a former 6-light chamfered mullion window, now 3-light window each with
differing glazing bars, and beyond a former 2-light chamfered mullion window, now a
single light with margin light glazing, above the remains of a chamfered hood band. To
the left a pair of 6-pane sashes with flush ashlar surrounds and above 3 pairs of sashes,
those to the left with 4-panes, the others with 6-panes, all with flush ashlar surrounds and
the remains of Tudor hood moulds. Rear, north front has to the left a former 3-light
chamfered mullion window, now 2-light, and to the right a former 2-light chamfered
mullion window. Above a central round headed staircase window with sash and to the
left a glazing bar sash. To the east a lower addition with double garage doors and to the
left a single doorway with plank door. Attached to the west a small outouse and attached
lean-to privy. Low stone walls enclose a rectangular front garden with at the south-east
comer a small pig-sq with doorway and stone feeding troughs. INTERIOR has single
fight, return stick baluster staircase, chamfered spine beams and a C19 iron range in an
ashlar fire place.
