Pair of cottages, now one house. Probably early C17. Square-
panelled timber-frame with brick nogging, some herringbone panels,
pantiled roof with brick stacks to right gable end and to left of
centre. Three bays, baffle-entry. Two storey, 5-window front.
Original ledged door to left and to right baffle entry, two 3-light
casements and two small 2-light leaded casements anda pair of 2-
light casements to right; all leading renewed C20. First floor
has five 2-light casements; two are in flush gabled dormers, one
in half dormer. Rear rebuilt in rubble stone to left part, brick
to right part, C20 leaded casements, eaves raised in brick,
probably C18.
Interior has chamfered beams with bar stops, timber-framed-
partitions with wattle and daub panels, open fireplace with
chamfered lintel, planked doors and flagstone floors. Unusual
'black-work' painting on ground floor beam, depicting two horses,
one with rider, and standing figure.
