Farmhouse. Probably C16, remodelled circa C16/C17 and circa mid C19. Rendered cob
walls, asbestos slate roof with gable ends. Brick chimney over left gable end and
external stone lateral stack of 4 stages to front middle; lower stages rendered; 3rd
stage stone rubble and top stage brick. 3-room through-passage plan plus wing to
rear middle, adjoining farm building range, right, at right angles to front right,
possibly semi-domestic function, almost adjoining former mill to east. 2 storeys.
Irregular 4-window east front. Original doorway to right of chimney breast with
C18, 9-panel door with 6-flush beaded panels and top 3 glazed. Old 3-light casement
over with 10-panes per light. C20 window in C20 opening to right of doorway and 3-
light casement with 8-panes per light in earlier opening further to right. Similar
window over and to hall ie left of chimney breast and over C20 French windows in
altered opening to far left and hornless 12-pane sash over. Small fire window now
blocked in angle between chimney breast and hall window. Deeply coved and moulded
plaster eaves cornice.
Interior not inspected but said to have old oak screen and very old roof structure.
