II
Small house, probably late C17 and remodelled C18. Rendered cob walls, wheat reed
thatched roof with brick chimney over gable end left and right, over large external
breast with large quadrant, slate roofed oven projection. Further internal chimney
breasts to rear wall surviving from earlier form of house. 2-room, through-passage
plan. Left room divided C19. Small C20 lean-to against right gable end. 2-
storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3-window south-east front. Doorway, slightly right off
centre within C20 gable porch. All C19, 12-pane, 2-light casements.
Interior retains circa C16 chamfered oak cross beam with stepped stops. Oak roof
structure with lapped and pegged collars is probably C18.
