Boundary wall and gates at George
Woofindin Almshouses

GV II

Boundary wall and gates to almshouses (qv). 1899. Paid for by
George Woofindin. Coursed squared stone and red brick with
ashlar dressings. Low wall with chamfered coping, most of the
length to Ecclesall Road topped with a wrought-iron railing.
To left, a pair of square brick gate piers with moulded square
ashlar caps and a pair of wrought-iron gates. At the far end,
to right, a small wrought-iron gate. To left, a rounded corner
and a length of similar wall along Brocco Bank. Approx 220m
long.
