Terrace wall, gateway and stair to
west of Queen's Tower

GV II

Terrace wall, gateway and stair. 1839. For Samuel Roberts.
Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings. Polygonal wall, approx
40m long, has 2 round corner piers, string course, and
crenellated parapet. Gateway at south end has vermiculated
piers and chamfered pointed opening with stepped gable and
crocketed finial. Steps have traceried balustrade with square
piers. An ancillary building to Queen's Tower (qv).
