12/290 View Rosa, Piskey Cottage,
and Down View
GV II
Row of three houses, dated 1797 on stack, chequered brick with
ashlar dressings and stone slate roof, replaced with concrete tiles
on Down View. Two ridge stacks. Two storeys and attic. Two
original hipped dormers, one C20 dormer to Down View. Flush
quoins, brick band and brick dentilled eaves, 4-window range, 12-
pane sashes. View Rosa has ground floor sash to left, door in
flush moulded stone surround with hood on brackets, 12-pane sash
above, and 12-pane sash each floor to right. Piskey Cottage has
6-panel door in similar surround with hood on brackets and 12-pane
sash to each floor to right. Down View has C20 windows replacing
sash on each floor and C20 window in former doorcase with hood on
brackets to right. East end wall has oval attic light.
