6/17 Forrester's Cottage

GV II

House. Late C18-early C19 with C20 alterations. Pinkish-brown brick in Flemish
bond, pantile roof. Central stair-hall entry plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays with
added partial rear outshut. Plinth. Central C20 board door with 2-pane over-
light in wood frame. Windows are 2-light, 12-pane side-sliding sashes, those on
ground floor larger, having cambered header-brick arches and late C20 louvred
shutters. Stepped 3-course lst-floor band. Stepped dentilled eaves. Raised
verge to right gable. Tabled end stacks. Right return: tumbled-in brickwork to
gable.
