Ruins of abbey on moated site. Medieval. Now inaccessible on foot, because
surrounded by water of Newton Ings. Telescopic inspection from Newton Lane
reveals only a pile of 7 or 8 courses of dressed masonry at the south-west
corner of the island, the rest of the site being overgrown with shrubs.
