House. Originally late C16-C17, refronted and dated WW 1774 on plaque, altered
C20. Ironstone ashlar front with pale limestone dressings; remainder rubble
stone, the rear with banded limestone and ironstone. Formerly thatched, now with
C20 interlocking tile roof on concrete block eaves. Flanking limestone and
ironstone chimneys. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Limestone quoins, sill and lintel
courses. Wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, all renewed C20, 3-light
flanking 2-light. C20 door to left with date plaque above. Ground floor
openings have shaped lintels and triple keyblocks, the doorway keyblock moulded.
C20 wing to rear of right bay.
Interior: Left bay has deeply chamfered cross beam with moulded stops, and
stop-chamfered wooden lintel to fireplace.
