-13-- One of the Belvoir Angels headstones by a Hickling craftsman. Small, rectangular, slate, with round-faced winged angel and relief carved lettering, to: Sarah wife of William Shittlewood of Kinolton d. Jan 20th 1724 aet 26. Poem:- Pale death will hardly find another/ So good a wife, so kind a mother/ In all her actions she was kind/ They will not soon slip out of mind-. The Pale Death poem is associated with victims of tuberculosis. (Photo Sept 2012)
