1839 with later extensions. Built as The British School. Red brick, English bond
brickwork. Slate roof with stone kneelers. 1 storey. Gable end to street. Chimneys
on gable ends. Northern facade to street has 3 light Gothic arched window with
stone dressings. Trefoil blank light above. Western facade has 4 round arched
sashes with glazing bars. Eastern facade has 2 similar windows, then modern brick
addition with window above and, to south, gabled porch dated 1853. Stone coping,
ogee arched door and Gothic arched side light.

St Mary's Church of England Infants School forms group with No 20 (which is of
local interest).
