Circa 1830-40 large Tudor/Gothic 2 storey villa set on terrace. Crazed rubble
with ashlar quoins and dressings, weathered cornice string, corner buttresses to
ground floor. East entrance front has double ashlar faced centre break, parapet
raised in small gable. 1st floor crenellated oriel window, flanking lights. Crenellated
gabled parapet to crazed rubble porch with 4 centred arch entrance. 1 window each
side of centre, 3 light wood mullioned transomed casements, that to left on ground
floor a canted bay window with crenellated parapet. South garden front has 2 gabled
wings, and 2 small gables over 1st floor windows to centre, drip moulds to casements,
shallow rectangular bay window on ground floor - later C19 alterations. Dominant
hillside position.
