Pair of cottages. Late C18, with mid and late C19 alteration
and extension. Coursed squared stone on rendered plinth at
front; right side of rubble stone, partly rebuilt and extended
in pink and cream mottled brick in stretcher bond; left side
rendered; brick end stacks to pantile roof. 2-storey 2-window
front. No.15 has board door with overlight, to right of 4-pane
sash window, both with rendered wedge lintels; similar door to
No.17, to left of 12-pane sash, beneath continuous lintel.
First floor windows are 2x2 large-pane sliding sashes with
keyed wedge lintels. All windows have painted stone sills.
Stepped eaves course. Right return: small 2x2 sliding sash on
ground floor. Later windows on upper floors. Included for
group value.
