Three houses, now shop and cafe. Early C18 origins, refronted
early C19; later C19 and C20 alterations. Refronted in pink
and cream mottled brick in English garden-wall bond, with
ashlar dressings; rear part rubble stone, part orange-red
brick in random bond; pantile roofs, higher to No.1, with
brick ridge stacks. 3-storey 7-window front. No.1 has panelled
front door in quoined doorcase beneath cambered arch of
stepped voussoirs with vermiculated keystone; single-pane sash
window with flat arch of voussoirs and stone sill to left. To
right, shop front of plain pilasters with moulded imposts and
moulded cornice; three-quarter glazed shop door in panelled
reveal to left of half-canted plate-glass window with shaped
mullion. Doors to Nos 3 and 5 are half-glazed with overlights,
in segment-headed doorcases of quoins and stepped voussoirs
with vermiculated keyblocks. Single-pane sash to left of No.3;
remaining ground floor windows are of 3-lights, beneath
segmental arches of brick with vermiculated triple keyblocks;
one altered, of plate glass, with flat arch of voussoirs.
First floor windows are all 12- or 16-pane sashes; on second
floor, squat 6- or 8-pane sashes; all have stone sills and
flat brick arches. Cogged brick eaves cornice. Rear of No.5:
lodged jetty plate exposed beneath the eaves.
