House. c1820. For John Coryton Gotley, merchant. Rendered
Pennant rubble with brick dressings, limestone ashlar and
pantiled valley roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 5-window
range. Symmetrical block with clasping pilasters to cornice
and parapet. Wide, semicircular-arched doorway, with stained
glazing to the door, margin lights and tympanum. Mid C19
canted bay to the left with 1:3:1 windows, moulded imposts and
flat, keyed heads, cornice and pedimented parapet above.
Plate-glass sashes on the ground floor and 6/6-pane sashes on
the first. Small c1930 glazed entrance lobby on the left
return, 3-storey block at the rear. INTERIOR not inspected.
