House- Circa 18205 or 18305. Squared, coursed Pennant rubble, limestone ashlar and ridge stacks, slate roof L-shaped, double-depth plan. Gothick style. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Porch on the left has a hooded 3-centered doorway and boarded door, and scalloped barge-boards with round ends pierced by quatrefoils. The corners are broken forward to form clasping pilasters; central section slightly forward, under an ornate ashlar parapet, with an ogee arcade and a rectangular carved panel in the centre. Canted bay of 3 pointed widows and crenellated parapet; ashlar panels below, a label above the middle window and interlacing glazing. Coupled Tudor-arched windows below a label mould to the right on the ground and first floors. Left return has 3-window range below three gables with barge boards and heavy octagonal pendentives, 2 ground-floor windows to the left-hand gable, under a moulded string- 4 ridge chimney ranges of 2 and 4 hexagonal ashlar stacks, joined by a moulded cornice, the main range with square slate pots. INTERIOR: Staircase with octagonal newels with moulded caps, moulded handrails, twisted balusters and fretted Gothick tread-ends. Some cast-iron window-shutters. Much of the original landscape planting survives.
